I carry this idea into my work. As a photographer and visual artist, I see image-making as a way of preserving emotional history. My goal is not only to capture how people look, but to document what it feels like to live in this moment.

My work centers storytelling, identity, emotion, memory, and Black creative expression. I am interested in the things people carry beneath the surface — joy, grief, confidence, uncertainty, faith, history, and becoming. Through portraiture, color, lighting, symbolism, and composition, I use photography to make those invisible experiences visible.

I create with future generations in mind. I want my images to become records of the present: proof of how we lived, how we felt, how we loved, how we created, and how we saw ourselves.

Whether I am making conceptual work or photographing families, events, and individuals, my purpose remains the same: to create images that feel honest, intentional, and worth remembering.
